Master the coding systems and claims process that keeps every medical practice financially reimbursed.
Medical Billing & Coding professionals turn medical care into the codes that insurers pay on, and demand is strong at every hospital, clinic, and private practice. At MBS Career Institute (Merkaz Bnos), these skills are taught within our Medical Assistant and Medical Office Specialist programs, and additional standalone courses may be offered when available. You learn the major coding systems, the full insurance claims cycle, and the compliance rules that protect patient data. It is detail-oriented rather than difficult. With structured training and practice, beginners with no healthcare background can succeed.
Many employers prefer or require certification. Our training prepares eligible students to sit for the optional national certification exams through MedCA.
With experience, many billing and coding roles offer remote or hybrid schedules, though entry-level roles are often on site.
Medical records specialists earn a national median annual wage of $50,250 ($24.16 per hour), according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Wages vary and are not a guarantee of earnings.
