Can I keep my job while I train?

Most students do. Programs run on a day schedule or an evening and weekend schedule, and the point of having both is that you pick the one your employer can live with. Bring your shift pattern to the admissions appointment and we will build around it.

Do you offer short courses instead of a full program?

Phlebotomy and EKG is the short option, and other standalone courses may be offered when available. The rest of the clinical and billing content is taught inside the Medical Assistant and Medical Office Specialist programs, because that is how employers want it packaged.

What happens during the internship?

You work in a real medical office under supervision: intake, vitals, draws, records, real patients. The school arranges the placement. It is a requirement rather than an option, and it is what turns a certificate into a hire.

I live here but I am nervous about starting school again. Is that normal?

It is the most common thing we hear at the front desk. Most students here are adults who have been out of a classroom for years, so the programs run on scheduled hours, hands on practice and instructors who expect questions, not on independent study you are left to figure out alone.
